DOCTORATE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Kinds of enterprise different from the standard paradigm

The Doctorate in Business Management responds to the need to have professionals capable of generating a permanent approach between the real problems of manufacture and services enterprises and the state-of-the-art analytical methods, rendering support to production and logistic functions.

The program focuses on the analysis of the surroundings and the enterprise itself, on the creation and discussion of feasible alternatives and on the selection of strategies appropriate to the enterprise' general objectives.

When finishing their studies, the graduate from the Doctorate in Business Management will be able to propose, direct and perform research in an independent way, to produce original knowledge, to apply the knowledge generated to the solution of enterprise problems and to participate in the building of academic communities in the Enterprise Management area.

QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE METHODS FOR RESEARCH
In this course provide the fundamental concepts for empirical research projects in social sciences, but applied to strategic management and organizational behavior.

DYNAMIC SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT COMPANIES
The course provides tools for modeling discrete and continuous dynamical systems applied to business management. It will also implement algorithms that allow to visualize the behavior of dynamical systems both real and complex, and detecting the existence of chaos.

DOCTORAL THESIS I
Science, Research and Technology. Scientific method. Troubleshooting. Objectives and strategies. Project Design Research Framework. Sources of information. DOCTORAL THESIS III
Data collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of research results. Review outline of thesis work. Presentation of the theoretical framework, analysis of consistency between objectives, hypotheses and variables. Critical analysis of the findings and recommendations. The course ends with a presentation by a doctoral thesis progress of the draft.

DOCTORAL THESIS IV
Structure of the thesis. Introduction. Analysis foundation. Method and procedure. Results. Conclusions and recommendations. References and appendices. Formal aspects of writing the definitive work of the thesis. The course concludes with a presentation by Dr. final draft of the thesis.

INTERNATIONAL ECONOMY
Is the study and analysis of issues, trends, behavior and outlook for the economy worldwide and its relationship with the national environment, with emphasis on trade, interdependence, economic scenario analysis and negotiations.

INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
The course covers the elements of technology management, product process, equipment and marketing organization, these elements will permit analysis of the company and its technology-based environment, thus improving their competitiveness.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS APPLIED ECONOMETRICS
It provides the participant with the tools of economics to you making models based on survey data from individuals or organizations, analyzes the models with qualitative variables, exogenous limited duration models and panel data.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Discusses the role of operations management in organizations for competitive advantage in existing markets through improved productivity, lower costs, higher quality and lower response time. Highlights the factors to be considered in key decision areas of quality, logistics, processes, workforce management and the environment.

DECISIONS
The course deals with the variables that influence decision making. Individual decision making. Phases in individual decision making. Group decision making. Ways to make a group decision. Consensus. Brainstorming. Nominal Group. Delphi Technique. Phillips 6-6. Virtualization society. The Web as a source of Information, Knowledge and Communication. Collaboration Tools Online.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN ORGANIZATIONS
The course covers the knowledge society, knowledge economy. Valuation of intangibles in the organization. Intellectual capital and knowledge management indicators.

DECISIONS AND GAMES
The course focuses on analyzing the behavior and interaction among rational agents, introducing the participant in the study of the rationale for decisions, elements of a game and game types, all this complemented by case study applications in organization

INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
It addresses issues related to investment portfolio management and optimal use of resources in risk scenarios. It also analyzes the loan portfolio, training and performance, the bias of securities and other models of importance.

STRATEGIC FORESIGHT
The course aims to introduce the participant in the development of future scenarios using a validated tool in various organizations and for this we analyze the Anglo-Saxon and French schools, including the use of free software LIPSOR Institute.

Applicants have to submit the following documents to apply for the PhD in question
  • A photocopy of the diploma master degree awarded by a university or original certificate of having completed her graduate studies. For overseas graduates, will present the proper degree validated or recognized by the ANR (National Assembly of Rectors).
  • A photocopy of the diploma FEDAT master degree awarded by a university or original certificate of having completed her graduate studies. For overseas graduates, will present the proper degree validated or recognized by the ANR (National Assembly of Rectors).
  • A set of original certificates of graduate study or photocopies FEDAT by the university of origin.
  • A notarized photocopy of National Identity Document (DNI).
  • Receipt of payment for original registration fee.
  • Evidence proving the knowledge of a foreign language, granted by the Department of Linguistics UNMSM or EPG.
  • 01 passport photographs or passport, front and without glasses. On the back it should be noted the name of the individual and the code you are applying doctorate.

  • 02 letters of recommendation, which will be evaluated by the Jury of Admission.
  • Sheet No. 1: the data of the applicant and his affidavit.
  • Sheet No. 2 CV accompanied by documented, numbered and ordered according to the items on the tab.
  • A CD with the following scans: Master's Degree or Certificate of Graduate, Transcripts, record 1 and 2, ID, original payment voucher .
